Business Events at the Conservatory

Let Franklin Park Conservatory’s lush gardens bring new life to your company’s next corporate event. Centrally located in Columbus, just east of downtown, the Conservatory is ideal for meetings, off-site retreats, corporate receptions, employee recognition, and social gatherings.

Our staff will help you select the most appropriate setting and room arrangement based on the type of event you are planning. Distinctive yet versatile, the Conservatory offers several unforgettable venues for any occasion.

New Event Spaces Coming Soon!!

Two building additions, located east of the Historic Palm House and extending to the north and south are under construction as part of Phase One of the Conservatory’s Master Plan. You can be among the first to host your social event, or business gathering in these incredible new spaces available in fall 2008. Guests will enter these fabulous facilities by way of a new Special Events entry, a prelude to versatile new spaces. A conference room, with seating for twelve, has state of the art audiovisual capability and WiFi. It’s the perfect location for a working lunch or small staff retreat.

The Veridian

Combining outside beauty with inside comfort for up to 150 of your guests, a new grand event space features a ceramic tile floor, exposed stone walls, and wood beamed ceilings. Tropical plants and Dale Chihuly glass artwork enhance this room’s natural, organic feel. Large windows and doors provide access to the picturesque Brides Garden. It is a truly versatile venue for receptions, corporate meetings, seminars, or luncheons.

Zen Terrace

This sophisticated rooftop garden provides a unique, stylish setting for any type of ceremony, dinner, or cocktail party. Overlooking the Conservatory’s Bonsai Courtyard, this rooftop venue features a Zen Garden, planters of tall bamboo, and an elegant wall of Bonsai. Enjoy a dramatic granite planter displaying the glass artwork of Dale Chihuly.

The Grove

The Grove is a rooftop garden above the new event space and provides views of Franklin Park’s beautiful botanical gardens and the surrounding city. Large vertical water features create a tranquil ambiance. Mirroring the Palm House cupola, an elegant white gazebo adds to the visual appeal of this spacious 4,500 square
foot rooftop garden.

Palm House

Amid an extraordinary tropical plant and palm collection, this greenhouse offers a unique ambience for a variety of corporate events. The intricate Victorian architecture combines the elements of glass and stone in picturesque grace. Double grand staircases give an elegant and dramatic entrance, descending into the lush garden setting. Chihuly chandeliers, iron gazebos, and a Venetian-style fountain enhance the natural beauty of this lavish greenhouse.

Garden Pavilion

The newest location at the Conservatory, the Garden Pavilion combines the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort and reliability of the indoors. This temperature-controlled location is available from May through October. This spacious room is elegantly landscaped, complete with a beautiful outdoor courtyard for dining or ceremonies. The Garden Pavilion, a grand marquis tent, includes carpeted flooring, a parquet dance floor, and grapevine chandeliers.

West Terrace

Surround yourself with nature. The West Terrace provides spectacular views of the Grand Mallway and award-winning botanical gardens. This charming brick veranda extends from the Palm House and features a crescent-shaped flower bed with seasonal color.

Grand Atrium
At the heart of the Conservatory, the Grand Atrium is our most contemporary space. Stately pillars, slate tile, and a full-length skylight provide natural light throughout the space. The Grand Atrium is only available after business hours.

Atrium Gallery (Exhibit Room)

Recently renovated, the Atrium Gallery offers an elegant setting for both meetings and receptions. Enhance your gathering in this space that transforms with each new exhibition, often including unique artwork or interactive displays. The Gallery is available after 5 p.m. during certain exhibitions. Call about availability.

Catering
For daytime events, Cam’s Garden Café – located at the Conservatory – can provide catering service. Select from our catering menu for continental breakfast, lunch, snacks or just a coffee break. Arrangements are made through your Special Events Coordinator.
