It is with pleasure that we announce great news. Growth. By Design., the
Conservatory’s $20 million capital campaign.
This campaign was undertaken to bring a community-inspired Master Plan, jointly developed by
Franklin Park Conservatory and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department in 2000, from paper to
reality. The Master Plan to improve Franklin Park was developed with input from representatives from
nearby neighborhoods, the horticulture industry, corporations, government, and plant enthusiasts.
Over the past year and a half, we have held forums and met with individuals to share the vision of the
Master Plan and build support for this transformation of Franklin Park and the Conservatory. Through
these conversations, we have come to understand and deeply appreciate what the park and the
Conservatory mean to this community.
On this website, you’ll read about the plans for new buildings, enhancements to the park, and
programs being developed within Phase One of the Master Plan. As building progress continues and
we reach our $20 million goal, we’ll keep you informed, letting you know how your support can bring
this phase to completion.
We encourage you to take a look at this website to see how the Conservatory is transforming itself
with the help of the community. If you would like to be a part of this exciting time at the
Conservatory, see the Opportunities for Giving page to make a donation to the Master Plan. With the
help of good friends, neighbors, volunteers, and donors, the Conservatory will continue to be an
integral part of our community now and into the next century.
