The Conservatory presents three major fundraising events each year.
Les Chapeaux dans le Jardin (Hat Day)
The eighth annual Hat Day luncheon, chaired by Karen Fiorile, was held on Friday, May 2, 2008. Approximately 600 guests gathered on the Conservatory’s West Terrace, then proceeded to the Hat Day tent to enjoy an afternoon of fine food and fashion. Lunch by Chef Hartmut Handke, the Saks Fifth Avenue fashion show featuring “celebrity” models from our community, and finally the surprise presentation of the fifth annual Ann Isaly Wolfe Award, given to Pam Farber, were highlights of this signature spring event. More than $248,000 was raised to support horticulture and community outreach programs, such as Growing to Green.
Hat Day 2009, chaired by Debra Penzone, will be held on Friday, May 1 from 11 am to 1:30 pm. For more information, contact Suzanne Henry at 614-645-5569.
