GINGERBREAD COMPETITION

Turn on the oven and warm up to a holiday tradition
--- baking gingerbread!

Registration is now being accepted for the third annual Franklin Park Conservatory Gingerbread Competition. Contestants from five categories
• Youth
• Teen
• Family
• Adult
• Professional

may choose from the following themes:  Inspired by Chihuly, A Gingerbread Garden, or Your Favorite Book, Movie or Game

Entries will be judged in five categories
• Overall Appearance
• Originality/Creativity
• Difficulty
• Precision
• Consistency of Theme
Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category. click here to download an entry form with complete rules and prizes. Entry forms are available at the Conservatory's Visitor Center.

New this Year!
The public will be selecting a Best of Show entry with the winner earning a $500 cash prize. Visitors attending the Conservatory's holiday show will be issued 1 ballot per paid admission. The gingerbread entry with the most tickets will receive the Best of Show prize!

Gingerbread contest entries will be on display in the Conservatory's Palm House Gallery, December 3, 2009 - January 3, 2010, 3pm.
