Focusing on how plants and gardening can improve our neighborhoods, our health and our planet, this program provides educational resources for community
gardeners, teachers and home gardeners. Classes can be taken by the public one at a time, or participants can earn a community gardener certification by taking a series of classes with an emphasis on one of five tracks, indicated by the following codes:

School Gardens [SG]
Gardening Body Mechanics [NW]
Learn to use body mechanics while performing yard work and gardening in order to prevent common associated aches and pains. Discussion includes relevant anatomy and relationships between movement and your body. Taught by OSU Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, Jacquelyn Ruen.

Introduction to Bee Keeping [GP]
Want to keep bees? Dana Stahlman, president of Central Ohio Beekeepers Association, will show you the basics in this four-class series.

Season Extension [GP]
Extend the growing season with simple-to-construct hoop houses, cold-frames and plant varietals that are conducive to three or four season production.

This three-class series is designed to teach the basics of plant life for those who want to know more plant biology.
