Special programs – Individuals and corporations support Growing to Green, the Conservatory’s community gardening program, education programs, and temporary exhibitions.

Growing to Green enables the Conservatory to reach out into the community and promote, encourage, and provide resources for community and urban gardening in Columbus.  Since its inception in 2000, Growing to Green has assisted more than 130 community gardens, school gardens, and neighborhood beautification projects.  To learn more about this transformational program click here.

Educational programming at the Conservatory serves visitors of all ages throughout the year, from children to adults, to students and teachers.  These programs provide many new learning opportunities including courses in bonsai, watercolor classes, summer youth workshops, and the offerings of the Conservatory’s School Trip Program.  To learn more about available programs click here.

Temporary exhibitions, held each year at the Conservatory from fall to spring, invite visitors to explore the connections between art and nature.  All temporary exhibitions uphold the high standard set in 2003 with the introduction of Chihuly at the Conservatory.  To learn more about the Conservatory’s latest offering, Bending Nature, click here.
