EXPERIENTIAL TOURS
Interactive group programs are available either as a workshop or an outreach:Workshops are conducted at Franklin Park Conservatory and include admission to all exhibitions, an informative guided tour, interactive demonstrations, and a question and answer session led by a Conservatory specialist.
Outreach experiences are held at your location and are conducted by a Conservatory specialist. Outreaches include an interactive presentation with assorted plant examples and visuals, a question and answer session, and a $20 admission voucher door prize to Franklin Park Conservatory.
CULINARY
Hands-on Workshops:
Wood Fired Pizza - Groups will make dough and sauce from scratch, learn how to make and stretch fresh mozzarella, cut and prep toppings, and bake their creations in the wood-fired oven. Minimum 20, maximum 40 | $50 per person
Mexican Fiesta - Groups will make all the recipes necessary for a Mexican Fiesta. On the menu: three chip dips, refried beans, Mexican rice, chicken mole and key lime pie.
Optional addition: margaritas and sangria, priced on consumption.

Demonstration:
Delicious Desserts - Groups will learn the basics of cupcake decorating.
Choose from themes such as a vegetable garden, butterflies or blooming flowers.

Wood-Fired Pizza - Groups will assemble, bake and enjoy their own wood-fired pizza
creations. Select from a variety of seasonal toppings and sauces already prepared.

GLASS ARTWORK
Hands-on Workshop:
Blown Glass Ornament - Working alongside gaffers in the Conservatory Hot Shop, individuals will create their own colorful piece of blown glass to take home.
Minimum 6, maximum 12 | $65 per person, April - December
Demonstration:
Ornament - Individuals will design their own glass blown ornaments and watch upclose as gaffers in the Conservatory Hot Shop create glass artwork according to submitted designs. Minimum 16, maximum 30 | $35 per person, April - December
HORTICULTURE
Hands on Workshops:
Floral Design - Groups will learn the basics of floral design and see how flowers and
containers are combined to create the look of a professional arrangement. Participants
will create a simple vase arrangement to take home.
Minimum 10, maximum 25 | $55 per person
Terrariums - Groups will create their own two gallon terrarium in this hands-on workshop, while learning about these miniature environments, how to correctly care for them and becoming inspired by other terrarium options.

Living Wreath - Groups will create their own unique living wreath. Made of colorful succulent plants, these drought tolerant living arrangements look great hung on a door or fence or left flat for a centerpiece. Each participant will create their own living succulent wreath. Minimum 10, maximum 25 | $65 per person
Container Gardens - Groups will learn about the diverse option of container gardening, basic concepts and how to select plants to grow happily in a container together. Tips on sustaining a container over the heat of the summer will be shared. Participants will create their own container garden to enjoy at home.

BUTTERFLY EXHIBITION
Demonstration:
Butterfly Release - Groups will enjoy a docent-led tour of the Conservatory’s garden displays and current exhibitions. In addition, each guest will get the opportunity to release a newly emerged butterfly into the Pacific Island Water Garden biome.
