While the Conservatory is closed, there are a variety of virtual experiences to enjoy from home.

Virtual Experiences


Whisk away to an enchanted land of tropical butterflies and splashes of floral color during the Conservatory’s 26th anniversary of Blooms & Butterflies. Hundreds of colorful butterflies fly freely in the Pacific Island Water Garden, a tropical haven filled with bright nectar blooms. Patrons can visit at any time to see a diverse array of butterflies soaring overhead or basking on nearby plant life.

Butterfly Talk
Daily, 1pm & 3pm
Get a deeper insight of the species that make up Blooms & Butterflies as a specialist releases a selection of individual butterflies into the biome. With different varieties of butterflies emerging from their chrysalises daily, every presentation is unique.

Adult Lecture Series: Bonsai

On Wednesday, July 10, learn about the Conservatory’s annual Bonsai display with Bonsai Curator Liz Coverdale. The summer Adult Lecture Series will shed light on fan-favorite, annual exhibitions from Conservatory experts. Learn about plants, nature and art in this informal setting, all with a complimentary cocktail from Watershed Distillery in hand.

Lecture begins at 6pm with a self guided experience before and after. The Adult Lecture Series is presented in partnership with Watershed Distillery. This event is 21+.
