Green Cuisine: Many-Cultured Meals
YOUR CHALLENGE: To better understand and celebrate the many cultures represented in the Columbus metro area, students will research traditional cuisine within their families and/or ethnic backgrounds and map out the origins of the foods and major ingredients in a particular dish. That dish will be created by student individuals or teams, with an emphasis on obtaining locally-grown, organically-grown or ethically-sourced produce and ingredients. Cooking demonstration will take place at Franklin Park Conservatory’s Wells Barn kitchen. Each cook-off team will have a maximum of 45 minutes to complete their dish (with staggered start times).
