Arbor Day Celebration

Celebrate a love of trees and commitment to environmental sustainability with the Conservatory and Ahlum & Arbor Tree Preservation. This daylong event will feature tree education, a free tree give away, a native butterfly release, wood artisans doing demonstrations and selling their art, and more entertainment and fun activities for all ages.

Entertainment will include Chris Rowlands, with his mix of music and puppetry; a presentation of birds of prey by Ohio Wildlife Center. Expert advice from master certified arborists, horticulturists, and local “green” enthusiasts will be available to answer all your questions about trees.

Activities will include tree climbing for all ages, touch-a-truck with Ahlum & Arbor’s work vehicles on-site, a tree cookie craft, face painting for kids, and a tree scavenger hunt. Wood artisans, including the Central Ohio Woodturners, will be onsite demonstrating their craft and selling their art.

All activities, artisans, and tree experts will be on-site all day with special performances by Chris Rowlands at 11am & 2pm and Ohio Wildlife Center at 12pm & 3pmAll performances will take place at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Learning Pavilion.

The event is included with general admission, free for Conservatory members.
