This is a guided walk and lecture led by Ohio Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologist Eileen Wyza.
Join a family-friendly night hike! Learn all about the bats of Ohio including their habits and their habitats during a talk from a guest biologist from ODNR. Then, as the sun sets, participants will take a guided walk around the Conservatory’s grounds in search of these flying mammals as they wake up and look for the plants that support their habitat. We’ll use an echometer (or ‘bat finder’) tool to locate and listen to the bats as the stars come out.
