In this class, you’ll make butter chicken, also known as chicken makhani, a classic Indian dish. It’s chicken marinated in yogurt and aromatic spices simmered in a spicy, buttery, creamy tomato gravy.
For a side dish, you’ll learn to make baingan bharta, mashed cooked eggplant and tomatoes mixed with a flavorful blend of garlic, ginger, and warm Indian spices topped with fresh cilantro. Perfect for scooping onto the naan we’ll serve alongside it.
The meal will be served with raita, a cooling yogurt relish with cucumbers, and basmati rice flavored with jeera (cumin seeds) and turmeric.
