Summer Floral Topiary

This is a hands-on floral design class led by Conservatory educator, Jenny Pope.

It’s topiary time at the Conservatory! Floral topiaries are a bold statement piece for any occasion. We will discuss color selection, the types of flowers suitable for a constructed arrangement, and how to achieve a fabulous, unique design. Extra studio time is built into class for maximum creativity as you work on an 18” centerpiece to take home!

Instructor: Jenny Pope, Director of Community Outreach and Education I have always been a "flower girl." As a young child, I created award-winning floral arrangements for the County fair, picked wild daisies from the roadside, and reveled in the rainbow of colors found in the annuals and perennials at my grandparent's garden center. As a horticulturist, I worked in a cut-flower greenhouse, harvesting fragrant Asiatic Lilies and soaring stalks of Alstroemeria. At my home, you will see fresh flowers on the kitchen counter. Flowers should be a part of everyone's life, and I am excited to share my floral arranging tips and passion with you!
