Introduction to Beekeeping

This is a presentation by Will Merrill of Orchard Lane Apiary.

If you’ve ever wanted to explore the possibility of becoming a beekeeper, here is your chance! You may have questions on your mind such as, “what is a hive body?”, “how many frames will yield honey the first year?” or “what is a bee dance?”. Answer those questions by joining us to explore the world of beekeeping and learn how to host your very own apiary. Topics will include the life of a bee, the difference between honey and beeswax, beekeeping equipment and more.

Participants can choose to attend this presentation in person or virtually, whatever they feel most comfortable with. The in-person presentation will be limited to 14 and attendees must practice social distancing and wear masks. Virtual attendees will be provided with a link to a video conference before the class begins.
