Some orchids, found in Ohio will be explored through watercolor studies.
The class begins with a brief 15-30 minute overview of the project and a “tip of the day” with the demonstration.
You will want to spend the first 15-30 min. drawing the plant, and the last hour painting it. Mindy will be working on this project, in the classroom so you can easily access her for questions pertaining to your progress.
Prints and music will be provided, for inspiration only. A combination of prints, cropping and simplification are used to make your art truly unique. Of course, students are encouraged to bring in your own orchids sketches for painting if they wish.
A desire to learn drawing and painting is recommended. No previous experience necessary, but helpful.
