Painting Wild Flowers in the Summer Months

A series of watercolor lessons with beginner painting demonstrations, for those who prefer it. Advance students may use this time to explore their own projects with the feedback of other artists and the instructor.

Common Chicory (Cichorium intybus)
Focusing on blue violets,  ejhoy the beauty of the analogous colors of this cool side of the color wheel. Used for making coffee. Resource photos provided.

Blue Vervain (Stachytarpheta sp.)
Used for calming the nerves. Again, an exploration of the blue palette. These little cluster plants will be a challenge. Resource photos provided.

Bellflower: Tall Bellflower, American Bellflower, (Campanula)
This flat five petal star flower with it’s stalk of either one or many blooms.
