ProMusica SummerFEST Concert

Join us for two days of concerts on August 11 & 12! Spend a starlit evening on the grounds of Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, with world-class orchestral performances each night. Pack a picnic (no alcohol please!) and enjoy live music performed against the backdrop of the illuminated John F. Wolfe Palm House.

Gates open at 6pm and the concerts are from 8-9:15pm. One hour before each concert, there will be music and garden inspired children’s activities behind the stage on the Wolfe Terrace. Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Dogs (except service animals) are not permitted.

ProMusica returns to the beautiful grounds of Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Gardens for an evening of classical gems. Principal cellist Marc Moskovitz performs the shimmering “River Cam” by Grammy winning American composer Eric Whitacre and Haydn’s beloved C Major Cello Concerto. Led by Music Director David Danzmayr, the program concludes with Mozart’s lively “Linz” Symphony.”

SummerFEST: The Art of Tango

The evening comes alive with the sounds, rhythms and influences of Astor Piazzolla as we celebrate his centenary year. Concertmaster Katherine McLin is featured on his beloved and virtuosic work “Four Seasons” and the concert closes with his fiery Adios Nonino and Fuga Y Misterio. Works by Bach and Argentine composer Golijov round out the program – Bach who inspired Piazzolla; and Golijov who was inspired by this treasured tango master.
