Sogetsu Workshop

This is a hands-on class led by Columbus Sogetsu Ikebana instructor Jan Stein.

Join us for a workshop that walks students through the basic concepts of Sogetsu (Japanese flower arranging) and guides them in creating a simple but stunning arrangement that exemplifies Sogetsu—the ability to arrange flowers anytime, anywhere and with any materials.

Sogetsu Ikebana teaches three-dimensional, sculptural and asymmetrical design based on three structural lines; Shin, Soe, and Hikae. The first phase of Sogetsu study is in Kakeiho (flower pattern).
