This slow flow alignment-based class explores the balance of both effort and ease. This style is designed to engage and strengthen not only the major muscle groups but also the internal energetics of the body. You will learn numerous breathing exercises (pranayama) to deepen the breath and discover how the breath anchors you in body and in poses. You will be taken through each pose slowly and mindfully with thoughtful sequences and longer holds designed to engage and experience the purpose of each pose. In this slower yet challenging practice, within the boundaries and framework of personal individual expression, “every-body” is represented. You will learn to honor and work with your individuality, experiencing for yourself the union of mind and body and strength.
Learn classic yoga postures through a deep awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body. Highly therapeutic, this technique helps to refine your poses while it trains the mind to remain alert, focused and composed. All levels welcome.
