Children’s Garden Birthday Parties

Celebrate birthdays at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden! This new 2-acre garden is a multi-sensory, recreational, artistic and educational marvel. The Children’s Garden contains 16 themed garden galleries featuring Ohio’s ever-changing landscape. The Children’s Garden, where the natural world meets the magical, is sure to enchant on your child’s special day!

Birthday Party Registration Form

Educational Birthday Parties are available on Saturdays and Sundays. Parties are offered seasonally April–October 2019.

Cost: $350, $325 Members (for children up to 13 years of age ); additional rates may apply.

Please review the following details regarding birthday party policies and offerings.

Party Location

Your party will take place in the The Learning Pavilion in The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s GardenThis space is visible to the public, but the Pavilion is reserved for party-goers. Visit the Know Before You Go page to help you plan your visit to the Conservatory and The Children’s Garden.

Number of Attendees

Educational Birthday Parties in the Children’s Garden accommodate up to 30 attendees (children and adults). A 10 child minimum is required, and 1 adult must be present for every 5 children. For every 1-10 guests over the 30 allowed individuals, an additional $70 will be added to the standard party fee.  

Booking Your Party

Party must be booked 4 weeks in advancePayment is made during the confirmation phone call. 90 minute time slots are available with multiple time slots to choose from. Please note, birthday parties are not considered booked until confirmed by phone and payment is made to the Conservatory.  

Food & Refreshments

Catering is available through the Conservatory. We kindly ask for no outside food or beverages. View Birthday Party Catering Menu here. Outside cake or cupcakes are permissible. Refrigeration is not available at the Learning Pavilion. Paper products, cutlery, tables and chairs are provided upon request, however feel free to bring your own themed items.

Tables and chairs are provided. Tables are uncovered and measure 30″ x 72″ if you would like bring tablecloths.

Parking

Convenient, free parking is available for party guests.

Nature Art | Mother Nature is full of artistic inspiration! Join us to play with colors and collage with natural materials.

Beneath Your Feet | Calling all junior paleontologist, discover Ohio’s fossils and the story they tell. Dig for fossils and investigate the rocks beneath our feet!

The “B’s” of Pollination | Did you know that every third bite is due to the hard work of bees? Take a closer look at bees and other incredible insects that help our gardens grow.

Garden Party | Explore the magical world of seeds and the marvelous life of a plant. Meet the Conservatory’s very own worms, nature’s best recyclers!

Restrictions

We kindly ask for NO taped-on decorations, candles, glitter or balloons.

Cancellation Policy

Parties in the Children’s Garden are held rain or shine. Refunds cannot be issued for missed parties or cancellations less than 7 business days prior to the event date. Cancellations prior to 7 business days will receive a refund minus a $50 registration fee. If the Conservatory needs to cancel your party due to inclement weather, we will work with you to reschedule or issue a refund.

Inclement Weather

The Learning Pavilion is a covered outdoor space. Birthday parties are held rain or shine, so we encourage party-goers to dress for the weather. We will do our best to provide an indoor space providing severe inclement weather.

Upon Arrival

Host: Please plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to scheduled party time to allow for parking, walking time to the Learning Pavilion and for any set-up needs. An educator will great you at the Learning Pavilion.

Guests: Guests will be prompted to check-in at the Visitor Center and will be directed to the Learning Pavilion for the party.
