In accordance with Mayor Ginther's executive order, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will require face coverings. Exceptions will be made for children under the age of 6 and individuals with medical exemptions.

The Big Explore

On Saturday, December 29, Franklin Park Conservatory is among six Columbus cultural institutions participating in the “The Big Explore.” The Columbus Foundation will provide central Ohio residents free admission to the Conservatory, as well as the Columbus Museum of Art, COSI, National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Ohio History Connection and Wexner Center for the Arts.

Providing free admission is The Columbus Foundation’s way of thanking central Ohio for their help in building a strong and connected community over the past 75 years.

Special Note for Conservatory Members

The Conservatory is expecting a large number of guests on Saturday, December 29. If you are planning to visit that day please know there could be longer wait times than usual.

Parking on High Volume Days

Free parking is available at Franklin Park Conservatory. When parking in the main Conservatory lot is full, overflow parking is available along Conservatory Drive adjacent to the Children’s Garden and on the Community Garden Campus.

Off-site parking is available in the Adventure Center parking lot west of the Conservatory. Enter from East Broad Street and turn right to park at the Adventure Center.

Parking is also available at Wolfe Park, a 5-minute walk from the Conservatory on East Broad Street. The entrance to the Wolfe Park lot is just east of Nelson Road on East Broad Street.

The Big Explore Free COTA Rides

Free COTA rides will be available from 5 a.m. on December 29 until 1 a.m. on December 30. The Conservatory is located along the 10 line bus route. Take the 10 line eastbound and use the stop at E. Broad St. & Franklin Park Conservatory; take the 10 line westbound and use the stop at E. Broad St. & Brunson Ave.
