Women's Board

The Women’s Board of Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is an organization of enthusiastic individuals working together to help promote and support Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.  Founded in 1984 by a few dedicated women, today the auxiliary Board is comprised of approximately 300 members. This dynamic group has evolved into a vibrant philanthropic organization that is actively engaged in Conservatory programs. In 2009, the Women’s Board created an unparalleled and successful signature fundraising event – Field to Table – an al fresco culinary celebration of Ohio’s bountiful harvest. Over the years, the Women’s Board has contributed countless volunteer hours and raised more than $2 million to support the Conservatory’s horticulture and educational programs.

Women’s Board members come together to support the Conservatory’s community gardening program, Growing to Green, through hands-on work days and a summer tour of community gardens throughout Columbus. Members of the Women’s Board also participate in member-planned trips to gardens, parks and arboreta. Regular meetings of the entire Board and committees take place throughout the year along with other activities to support the Conservatory and build Women’s Board membership.

Women interested in becoming a member of the Women’s Board should contact the Women’s Board Membership Committee Chair at membership@fpcwb.org.
