Group Tours

Explore the Conservatory on your own with your group of 15 or more and receive a discounted group rate. Or arrange to have a Conservatory docent lead your group through our collections and exhibitions. All exhibitions are included in the general admission price.

Groups of 15 or more must make reservations at least two business days in advance of the intended visit to receive the group discount.

WOOD-FIRED PIZZA Learn about traditional Neapolitan-style pizza during this hands-on culinary experience. Choose from a variety of gourmet toppings and prepare your own pie to be cooked in the Conservatory’s outdoor pizza oven. Enjoy with a simple salad. Cost: $40 per person;

PASTAS & SAUCES Begin your experience with a classic antipasti platter filled with cheeses, olives and seasonal vegetables. Then head into the kitchen for this hands-on experience of making homemade pasta with a classic Italian braised meat sauce. Sit down and enjoy the meal you prepared of garden fresh salad, and handmade pasta and sauce, all topped with Parmigiana Reggiano. Saluti! Cost: $40 per person;

TAPAS & SANGRIA This culinary experience will take you from the Conservatory straight to the bustling urban plazas of Spain. Meet and mingle with your group while you create a sensational Spanish tapas menu. Start with a refreshing sangria filled with fresh fruit. While you sip on your creation, jump in and prepare a variety of five classic Spanish finger foods, including patatas bravas, Spanish tortilla, seasonal small bites of skewers, all paired with Marcona almonds and Manchego cheese. Cost: $50 per person

ADOPT A BUTTERFLY Adopt a butterfly, then release it into the Pacific Island Water Garden to watch it take its first flight. Cost: $20 per person.

DESIGN YOUR OWN ORNAMENT Working with a professional glass blower, each group member will create a glass ornament in the Hot Shop. Allow 15 minutes per participant. Ornaments will be available for pick-up the following day. Cost: $50 per person.

KOKEDAMA In this hands-on class, participants will learn about the traditional Japanese art of bonsai and the aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi. Each participant will then create a kokedame string garden to take home.
Cost: $25 per person.
