School Year School Trip Programs Our donor-funded Field Trip Scholarship program allows teachers to apply for a grant that will reduce the cost of admission and programming for students, teachers and chaperones by 50 percent. To be considered, 70 percent of students must qualify for free or reduced lunch. Funds are limited for this program so applications are required and acceptance is not guaranteed. Contact us for more information.

Columbus City Schools Field Trip Scholarship: In 2019, a dedicated Field Trip Scholarship fund was created to provide Columbus City Schools classrooms with greater access to the Conservatory. This program allowed teachers to apply for a grant to cover all costs for bus transportation, admission and programming for students, teachers and chaperones. The demand for this program was so great that all available funds have been distributed.
Summer Columbus Recreation & Parks Campers Each year the Conservatory works with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to provide a free field trip to their campers. This program reaches about 1,000 campers and counselors each summer.
Summer Summer Camp Fee 50% off the Summer Camp fee for participants in the Free & Reduced lunch programs.

2020 The Neighbor Membership Thanks to the generous support of the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Summer Activities CARES Act Grant, the Conservatory was able to offer hundreds of Neighbor Memberships to Columbus families for free! Qualifying families had a Columbus ZIP code and one child under 18 years of age.

The Conservatory partnered with Columbus City Schools, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, Go Lunch, Growing Healthy Kids Columbus, The City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods Liaisons and the YMCA. to get the memberships into the hands of families in need.

Neighbor Members and their family will enjoy free admission to our gardens, the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden, exhibitions like the Paul Busse Railway Garden, and more – every day till the end of the year!

If you’re interested in or have questions about any of the Access Offerings listed above, please contact us. The Conservatory can be reached via email (info@fpconservatory.org) or phone (614-715-8000).
