When we admire trees, we often focus on their beautiful flowers, vibrant fruits, or colorful leaves. What you might not focus on are each plant’s underground roots: unseen, roots stretch as wide (or wider!) than the flashier aboveground branches.
Just as roots provide stability for plants to grow into their best selves, a strong foundation allows us to provide exciting, engaging experiences for you and your family when you visit. Our foundation is comprised of our dedicated team, whose work to cultivate beautiful spaces and classes is often behind-the-scenes. You may not always see them, but your connection to nature is reliant on their passionate work which serves you now and is always adapting for the future.
You have an opportunity to invest in our foundation and ensure we continue growing into the future. Donate to our Annual Fund today!
End of Year Notice: There’s still time for another act of kindness in 2022! If you’d like to make a year-end gift, be sure to make your online donation or have your mailed gift postmarked by December 31, 2022.
On September 22, the Conservatory launched a new system to make online transactions, including donations, more seamless! Supporters may need to create a new account or reset their password when using the system for the first time. Please contact us with any questions and thank you for your patience!
Annual FundThe Conservatory is your year-round connection to the natural world. No matter the season, our spaces are a haven for you.
As our community relies on us for their nature-fix, we rely on our Annual Fund to provide the strong foundation on which to build our programs. We rely on Annual Fund donations to plan immersive youth and adult education programs, foster genuine connections across diverse communities, and cultivate beautiful gardens that our visitors can call their own. Donate to our Annual Fund today and help build upon our strong foundation!

The Conservatory’s vision is a world that celebrates nature as essential to the human experience. No group makes this vision possible on a daily basis moreso than the Monarch Society. Just as monarch butterflies are a symbol of transformation, this group of donors creates transformational change in our education, outreach, arts and culture, and horticulture offerings.
Join the Monarch Society with a gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund. Support from people like you enables the Conservatory to fulfill its mission and ensures operational strength and security. We thank our Monarch Society members through complimentary year-round admission, special donor events, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments.
NEW this year, we are growing our Monarch Society to include multiple levels and associated benefits at each level, each aimed at getting you closer to the horticulture, community outreach, education and exhibitions that your Monarch Society membership directly makes possible.
We’re grateful for the generosity and commitment of the 2022 Monarch Society members and hope to welcome you to this group!
Whether you are looking for a unique and unexpected gift for a friend, a meaningful remembrance of a loved one, or a thoughtful recognition of a family member’s accomplishment, we can help you discover a significant way to pay tribute to the important people in your life.
A park bench in our Grand Mallway or Scotts Miracle-Gro Company Community Garden Campus can be dedicated to honor a special person. Each bench has an inset plaque allowing for a custom message. The dedication will remain for the life of the bench, approximately 10 years. Benches are dedicated with gifts of $5,000 or more.
Whether you are looking for a unique and unexpected gift for a friend, a meaningful remembrance of a loved one, or a thoughtful recognition of a family member’s accomplishment, a bench dedication is a significant way to pay tribute to the people you love.
Heirloom SocietyThe Heirloom Society is a group of compassionate individuals who make an estate gift, creating a philanthropic legacy that enables the Conservatory to focus on serving the community today while ensuring its sustainability into the future.
Remember the last time you noticed a glistening snowflake, a swath of lush grass, or a green houseplant bringing life and brightness to a room you're in. Did you feel connected to nature? Embrace that feeling and invest in the Conservatory through a planned gift to ensure others have that feeling for generations to come.
A legacy gift can take many forms: please see this form for more details on the various gift vehicles and options available for membership in the Heirloom Society.
If you have already included the Conservatory in your estate plans, please share the good news! To discuss a planned gift, or to notify us of your gift intent please contact Mary Beth McNamee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your gift is tax-deductible, vital, and so appreciated.
Gifts of all sizes make a big difference to the communities we serve at the Conservatory. View our most recent Annual Report and read about the impact our donors made!
