Women’s Board

The Women’s Board is an organization of enthusiastic individuals working together to help promote and support Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.  Founded in 1984 by a few dedicated women, today the auxiliary Board is comprised of approximately 300 members.

This dynamic group has evolved into a vibrant philanthropic organization that is actively engaged in volunteerism and fundraising for Conservatory programs. Over the years, the Women’s Board has contributed countless volunteer hours and raised more than $3 million to support the Conservatory’s horticulture and education programs.

In 2009, the Women’s Board created an unparalleled and successful signature fundraising event – Field to Table – an al fresco culinary celebration of Ohio’s bountiful harvest. Proceeds from Field to Table support the Conservatory’s community gardening outreach program, Growing to Green, which is among the many education and outreach programs that benefit from the Board’s volunteerism and involvement.

Regular meetings of the entire Board and committees take place throughout the year, along with other activities to support the Conservatory and build fellowship amongst Women’s Board members. These include member-planned trips to gardens, parks and arboreta; special culinary programs; hands-on volunteer days and more.

Women interested in joining the Women’s Board should contact the Women’s Board Membership Chair at
