A Midsummer Lily Pond

We will become inspired by the impressionist painting style and use of color to complete a waterlily study in the spirit of Monet. We’ll study the Victoria Cruziana water lily on display in the Pacific Island water garden first.

Then, back in the classroom, class will start with an overview of watercolor basics: brush control, layering, color mixing, and techniques through demonstrations, exercises, and one-on-one feedback from the instructor. You will leave class with a beautiful and abstract water lily painting, and confidence in your skills as a watercolor artist!

All supplies are included. All levels welcome- perfect for anyone looking to learn watercolor fundamentals while creating a beautiful nature inspired painting.
