Cake Decorating: Watercolor Cake

This is a cooking class taught by a local baker, Elaine Li.

Watercolor cakes are unique and versatile edible “paintings.” Thanks to the dreamlike movement of the colored icing it’s difficult to mess up, making it the perfect cake decorating technique for new cake decorators. Or those who are a bit more experienced but haven’t tried making one yet. Each participant will have their own 6” white cake to decorate. Elaine will talk about a few guidelines of basic color theory so you can pick the right colors for all of your watercolor cakes with confidence regardless of the holiday or celebration.
