Cake Decorating: Whimsical Tree Stump

Tree stumps are an important source of life in the forest, providing food and shelter for many spring flora and fauna. This cake decorating class will celebrate spring and the life that surrounds these fallen giants. Learn how to create bark and mimic the inner cross-section of a tree using American buttercream.

Then, you’ll learn how to model the iconic red fly agaric mushroom, made famous by countless fairytales, and model a ladybug. While enjoying a leisurely glass of wine, you’ll pipe some simple flowers and use shredded coconut dyed green to complete this whimsical spring cake.

Elaine will provide each participant with their own 6” vanilla cake for decorating. Cakes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
