Welcome the rainy season and brighten your home with a handmade brass rain chain in this class led by artist, Pam O’Dea. Select from a plethora of brass hoops and decorations and combine them to create a rain chain that will direct water away from your home and can reach straight down to your favorite water-loving plant! While creating your rain chain, learn about rain gardening, and rain loving plants you can put in your own yard from a Franklin Park Conservatory educator!

Instructor: Pam O'Dea Pam is a Columbus based mixed media artist and co-owner of Good Dea Craft School. She began her artistic journey in textiles in the late 90’s with sewing and bag making. Pam spent a decade as a portrait photographer, working with models from Ford and other agencies across the United States. Her fascination with discovery and adventure led her to Wyoming where she specialized in beading and semi-precious stone jewelry. Natural healing through sound, vibration, and meditation led her east where she studied Acutonics and spent years as a guest artist at Curve Studios in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC. She returned to Columbus in 2022 to share her art with informative and unique project-based classes. Pamela is a testament to what can be accomplished without formal training, she encourages artists to follow their passions and never be afraid to begin a new artistic journey.

Pam resides in Columbus Ohio with her husband and son. She spends her time outside the class room on custom leatherwork and enjoys hiking, road trips, sarcasm, and cooking meals with her family.
