This is a hands-on felting class led by Conservatory educator, Nicole Tabit.
Create a 3-D sculpture of a signature sign of spring—the bluebird. Learn the basics of 3-D needle felting by adding wool roving onto a form to shape your bird, and add life. Felt is a textile material that is produced by matting fibers together, in this case with wool and a very sharp needle!
This class is great for beginner to intermediate felters and felting supplies are provided. Having thimbles or finger protection is not necessary to felt, but sometimes finger pricking happens. Please feel free to bring thimbles or fingertip guards!
