Needle Felted Tropical Scenery

Learn the art of needle felting, and create a needle felted 2D scene, full of deep jungle greens and jewel toned flowers! Felt is a textile made by matting fibers together, in this case with wool and a felting needle. Students will apply layers of wool to create a ‘watercolor style painting’ out of fiber, and then add small details such as tropical flowers in rainbow shades to create a final 2D work of art! Feel free to bring a lunch or purchase one from our Garden Cafe during this program.

Difficulty: Beginner; all supplies provided. Having thimbles or finger protection is not necessary to felt, but sometimes finger pricking happens. Please feel free to bring thimbles or fingertip guards!
