Pollinator Palooza

Celebrate birds, bees, butterflies and all of the other creatures that make our gardens grow during Pollinator Palooza in conjunction with National Pollinator Week. Engage with local pollinator advocacy organizations, while enjoying learning opportunities, crafts, music, garden tours and more.

This event is free to attend; no tickets or reservations are required. Please note that this event is held in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company Community Garden Campus, southeast of the Conservatory. Admission is required if you choose to visit the Conservatory before or after the event.

All activities are scheduled from 11am-3pm unless otherwise noted.

Organization Fair & Activities
Stop by pollinator-centric booths from the Conservatory
and participating organizations for activities, crafts, games and more!

Food Demonstration
Taste delicious foods made with ingredients that are only possible thanks to pollinators in the Education Pavilion.
Led by the Conservatory’s Culinary & Sustainability Educator, Heather Bell.

Vendor Sales
Natives in Harmony (plants), Monarch Meadows (plants), Hinton Apiaries (honey), Red Beard Bees (honey) and pollinator-themed artists Nora Steele & Michelle Boerio.

Painting Demonstration
Local artist Michelle Boerio will be demonstrating her painting techniques
in the Community Garden Campus, creating a painting celebrating all things Pollinator!
Purchase a raffle ticket for $5 each for a chance to win her painting at the end of the event.

Greg Greyson plays a unique blend of soft rock with jazz overtones

The Bugman
Mark Berman, the Bugman, shares his knowledge and excitement about bugs while giving everyone the opportunity to hold his creepy, crawly friends!

Pollinator Passport Stations
Pick up a Pollinator Passport, stop by the Pollinator Garden, and get a stamp at each station as you learn more about bees, butterflies, bats and beyond.

Food Trucks
Tortilla, Pitabilities, Tyler’s Pizza and Too Good Eats (popsicles)

Raffle
Complete the scavenger hunt (visit info table) to enter a raffle to win general admission tickets, a Blown Glass Hummingbird Feeder, and more!
Or purchase more tickets to enter a raffle to win Michelle Boerio’s painting.
