Spring Migration: Birding Walk

Every spring from mid-April to mid-May millions of birds complete their spring migration across the Americas. Join educators from the Grange Insurance Audubon Center to learn about migratory birds, flyways, and how you can get involved with community science. Participants will discover how to use Audubon’s Migratory Bird Explorer tool, search for birds throughout the park on a guided bird walk, and enter the data collected on the walk into the eBird database.

Binoculars and field guides will be provided to participants during the class, and be prepared for a gentle guided walk outdoors through the grounds.

The Grange Insurance Audubon Center is one of 32 conservation action centers across the national Audubon network. Located near the heart of downtown within the Scioto-Audubon Metro Park, we are positioned within an Important Bird Area (IBA) and are home to hundreds of different bird species throughout the year. We offer year-round educational programs for all ages, bird hikes,  community science programs, Art at Audubon exhibitions and workshops, and special events. Check our website at https://grange.audubon.org/ for more details. Grange Insurance Audubon Center is a self-supported 501-3c, nonprofit organization.
