Starting Your Herb Garden

Learn how easy herbs are to grow, and get your hands dirty with a DIY planter for your own starter herb set. Topics will include: Which herbs to plant? Should I use seeds or starter plants? When and where to plant? What are the best growing conditions? In pots or in the ground? We will discuss the basics of garden design to create a visually pleasing and functional herb garden for your use. Learn some history of these great plants that have medicinal, seasoning, fragrance and display uses.

Instructor: Nicole Tabit Nicole Tabit is the Adult Program Manager at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Her degree is in Natural Resource Management and Visitors Services from The Ohio State University. She loves to hike and be outdoors, but she also loves to create and combine her love for the arts and environment by tying natural elements into her art projects.
