Sushi from the Garden

Let’s use fresh seasonal produce grown in our very own Community Garden Campus to create colorful and nutritious sushi rolls- it doesn’t get fresher than that! Veggies, seaweed, and rice combine into a refreshing roll, and during class we’ll make Tamago (Japanese-style omelets) to add to the rolls. Dietitian Julie Palmer will teach you how to make perfectly seasoned sushi rice and how to roll everything up in a classic sushi roll made with great texture, flavor and color. We’ll end our sushi meal with green tea ice cream and Japanese-style sundae toppings. This class is vegan friendly- vegan alternatives will be provided!
