Tree Talk

Take a closer look at the trees around you. In this engaging workshop, we’ll practice tree identification and explore how that knowledge can guide thoughtful pruning and future planning decisions, using the Children’s Garden as our living classroom. As we walk through the tree-filled garden, we’ll see how the trees planted there have evolved over time and the adjustments that are needed to keep them thriving.

You’ll leave with practical skills, a sharper eye for identification, and a deeper understanding of how to grow with your landscape.

Please note: this class includes time outdoors in the Children’s Garden. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Instructor: Luke Varvarosky Luke Varvarosky is a senior horticulturalist at Franklin Park Conservatory, and an ISA Certified Arborist. He loves talking about trees and plants, and designing our container gardens!
