European Travels

Four destinations are nestled throughout the 1,100+ feet of track that make up Paul Busse Garden RailwayThe handmade structures and plantings reflect the theme of the destination.

Normally you can’t take a train from Ohio to Europe, but you can explore the European Travels portion of the garden railway. The miniature villages here are inspired by the towns found on the European continent. Marvel at Swiss chalets, Old World manors, German houses and even two classic lighthouses. There are 7 buildings in total.

Accenting the charming structures are plantings inspired by the evergreens and meadows in The Sound of Music. The meadows are created with Leptinella (tiny fern-like plants) and Irish moss. Flowering snowflurry asters bring the meadows to life in the late summer.
