The days of June are over and sunny July promises endless possibilities for summer 2023! This month we are kicking off our second Conservatory Explore Night with Red, White & Bloom! Explore colors and shapes around the Conservatory this month with exciting events, classes and programming.

Please note: Conservatory Explore Nights are evening experiences occurring after General Admission and require Special Engagement tickets.

Conservatory Explore Night: Red, White & Bloom July 8 | 5-9pm | Special Engagement Admission Required

A rare opportunity to explore the Conservatory at night, these special engagement summer themed evenings will feature music, family fun activities, a scavenger hunt, a cash bar for the adults, food trucks, and all Conservatory amenities, including the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden will be open to explore.

Educational Programs All Month | Daily & Weekly Programs Available | Included With Admission

Celebrate summer colors and patterns in the garden! Located in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children's Garden. Daily from 10:30am–1pm

July Community Day July 2 | 10am-5pm | Free with Franklin County or Columbus ID

Community Day is the first Sunday of every month. Residents of Columbus and Franklin County receive free General Admission and access to current daytime exhibitions. Identification is required.

Garden Safari June 3-September 10 | 10am-5pm | Included With Admission

Explore the Conservatory Courtyards, Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children's Garden and Grand Mallway to discover topiaries filled with plants and colorful moss that mimic the colors and textures of fur, skin, scales and feathers.

Paul Busse Garden Railway June 3- January 7, 2024 | 10am-5pm | Included With Admission

Guests can journey with the trains through a miniature world of 47 botanical models made from all-natural plant material. Special elements to add to your itinerary include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook and plantings specific to each themed destination.

Hot Shop & Glassblowing Open Daily | Live Demos Mon-Fri 11am-2pm and Sat-Sun 12-3pm | Included With Admission

Watch live daily demonstrations at our Hot Shop or take a class and make your own glass piece! The gaffers will walk guests through every step of the glassblowing process as they gather molten glass and transform it into a finished piece of artwork.

Open During Admission Botanica Gift Shop & Greenhouse Shop red, white and bloom items at Botanica all month long!

Open Dawn to Dusk Ohio Hybridizers Historic Daylily Garden Experience all the colors with 850 varieties of blooming daylilies. Arranged in beds by the decade from when the cultivars and species were introduced, this space to the south of the entry plaza erupts with color while illustrating the history of this very popular plant

Open During Admission The Chihuly Collection The Conservatory is currently displaying 18 installations of breathtaking Chihuly glass artwork from its collection, the largest private collection in a botanical garden. The colorful glass artwork is placed throughout the Conservatory’s biomes and plant collections. The dynamic scenes highlight the connection between art and nature.
