The 14th annual Field to Table celebration will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022. Field to Table is a spectacular evening that celebrates the bounty of the late-summer harvest in a meal filled with fresh foods – grown and produced right here in Ohio – and raises funds for the Conservatory’s important community outreach, education and access programs.
Picture this: more than 700 of Columbus’ corporate and community leaders, event sponsors, Women’s Board members and their guests will gather for a unique dining experience set between the soil and the sky. Garden-inspired appetizers and specialty cocktails will be stationed throughout our Live Fire Cooking Theater and culinary gardens. After cocktail hour, guests stroll to the Mallway gardens for a candle-lit meal using Ohio’s finest seasonal ingredients, grown and contributed by local producers. At dusk, the James Turrell light installation, Light Raiment II, in the John F. Wolfe Palm House, sets the stage for a magical dinner experience under the stars.
Funds raised at Field to Table support community outreach and education initiatives to ensure the Conservatory is accessible to all. Examples of programs like these include:
- Growing to Green provides free resources and capacity building for community gardens.
- Teen Corps mentors low-income teens, guiding them in building life and work skills through urban farming.
- Programs like Community Days remove barriers to access, making the Conservatory and its resources free for everyone on the first Sunday of every month.
