We hope to see you on March 2 for Alexis Jacobs’ Community Day!
Alexis Jacobs, the former owner of Columbus Fair Auto Auction, was a fashion-forward woman with a bright and cheerful personality. Alexis was a long-time supporter of both the Conservatory and the Columbus Urban League. On June 3, 2022, Alexis passed, leaving an unrestricted gift of $4 million to each organization. Her donation is the single-largest in the Conservatory’s history and will have a transformative impact on our mission, supporting the education of children and families while strengthening the community through a shared love of nature.
The March Community Day is named in honor of Alexis, and it is especially meaningful to celebrate her legacy during Women’s History Month. Over the course of her life, Alexis broke down many barriers and found immense success as a business woman, philanthropist, and competitive fisherman. On March 2nd, we commemorate Alexis’s unwavering love for and belief in the community, and the lasting impression she has left. We hope you can join us in March, Alexis’ birthday month, to celebrate her life and legacy, along with additional Community Day programming in honor of Women’s History Month.
