A winter escape awaits at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens!

Orchids! Vibrant Victoriana

Awaken your senses on a dreary winter day and take a stroll through a warm Victorian garden. Hundreds of orchids of all forms, colors and sizes are artfully displayed in the Dorothy M. Davis Showhouse. Explore the Victorian collectors’ fascination with the exotic species through displays emphasizing the form, color and pattern of individual blooms. Learn more about orchids in these special programs.

Debora Moore: Collectanea Botanica - Orchidaceae
Glass artist Debora Moore exhibits her collection of rare orchids composed in glass. Moore's pieces express her vision of an exotic environment rooted in reality but springing from the imagination. Sixteen remarkable works are on view in the Cardinal Health Gallery and are available for purchase through Botanica Gift Shop and Greenhouse.

Paul Busse Model Garden Railway
The popular fairytale-themed model railroad designed and built by artist Paul Busse remains on view, but in an entirely new way! See how the train has been reimagined for its new site amongst the foliage in the Himalayan Mountain Biome. Trains moves past the homes of popular characters from children's fairytale literature, constructed of all natural materials.
